Big Data is a term used to describe a collection of data that is huge in size and yet growing exponentially with time. In short such data is so large and complex that none of the traditional data management tools are able to store it or process it efficiently. There are two major tools which are used in libraries to represent library data visualization.
1) Infographics
2) Dashboard
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, an infographic (or information graphic) is “a visual representation of information or data”.
An infographic is a collection of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand overview of a topic.

A data dashboard is an information management tool that visually tracks, analyzes and displays key performance indicators (KPI), metrics and key data points to monitor the health of a business, department or specific process.
